Since Namito's city edge is dark and "suicide place", I want to try and incorporate this into the glitzy glamourous side of the city. It can be seen as half and half, or gradually turning into darkness, or the darkness always being there and the glamorous side is a mask.
As usual, I am struggling a lot pin pointing the perspective / composition.
Out of these, I prefer 1 the most but I also quite like 5, it feels like a shadow slinking in to infect the rest of the city (in my opinion at least)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback Deanna :)
DeleteI like the implied drama of these, and some of the 'bird's eye' compositions are dynamic. I think, however, you need to think in a subtle way about the introduction of the darker elements; suicide needn't be a gothic place, with rubbish and decay etc; it could simply be a more 'blank' place or 'a void'. I don't even think you need to be as literal as showing the noose. I think it could be a bit more 'Black Narcissus' in terms of the shadow of this place being inferred as opposed to shown. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteHmm, never thought of it to be a void, good thinking!
