What If? Metropolis: OGR Part II

    Morning Manisha,

By now you would have seen my previous comment suggesting that you might want to look again at the composition of your final image, and how it might address an 'over emphasis' on the 'void' element. It's not that anything is 'wrong' with your intentions, as as expressed earlier too, the idea of a 'void' as opposed to all those nooses is an elegant solution. In general terms, I really like the final set of choices in terms of the buildings, but I suppose I'm a bit confused as to why you've given so much time and energy to designing some of the 'street furniture' elements, when it's likely that they won't be included within the final digital set - at least not if we're as distant from the city as your concept painting suggests? Of course, if you take us nearer and 'into' the city, then some of these elements may indeed become more important in terms of your workflow.

So - in summary, I like the resolution of all your assets, and I like the mood and painterly quality of your painting, but I would suggest a further revision of the composition to a) ensure that you're making the most of all those assets you've designed and b) to ensure that you're striking a balance between McQueen's achievements and his alienation. A few more compositional try-outs then, and then onwards with confidence :)
